The affluenza teen, Ethan Couch, was released from prison Monday morning in Texas. Couch was sentenced to two years after violating probation for a 2013 drunk driving accident. His blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit on the night of the crash. After the crash, Couch pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years of probation and time in a rehabilitation center. In 2015, he failed to show up to a check-in with his probation officer and the manhunt led authorities to Mexico, where he fled with his mother. Couch gained national attention when a psychologist said the teen suffered from affluenza, a term associated with his affluent lifestyle. Couch will serve the remaining six years of community supervision under terms of the court.
