Some East Coast residents received a legitimate tsunami warning Tuesday after a monthly test was issued. The National Weather Service issued a test tsunami alert that was received by some as an actual tsunami warning. The NWS tweeted from multiple accounts that there was no active tsunami warning, and anything received was just a test. The notification sent to phones was sent by the AccuWeather app. It is not clear how many people received the warning. Reports of this mishap were made in cities all along the East Coast, including Boston, Miami and Houston.
