A train crash has killed two people and injured 116 outside of Columbia, South Carolina. Early Sunday morning, Amtrak Train 91 was traveling from New York to Miami when it collided with a reportedly unoccupied, stationary CSX freight train waiting on the tracks for further movement. This marks the fifth train accident for Amtrak in the last few weeks and their second in a week. The National Transportation Safety Board has announced they are opening an investigation into the crash, and Amtrak has confirmed that the two deaths were Amtrak employees. The Red Cross has set up a temporary shelter in a nearby middle school for passengers.
