Following last year’s heartbreaking loss on a 3-pointer at the buzzer to Villanova in the national title game, the North Carolina Tar Heels had one thing on their mind: redemption.  Last night, in a hard fought nail-biter that came down to the final minutes, the Tar Heels were the ones who prevailed.  North Carolina (33-7) topped the Gonzaga Bulldogs (37-2) by a final score of 71-65 to claim the school’s sixth men’s basketball national title.  Junior guard Joel Berry led the Tar Heels with 22 points and was named the NCAA tournament's Most Outstanding Player.  Now we know what we have to look forward to next year!
