A mere 39 light-years from Earth sits a not-so-small planet named LHS 1140b. Its name is unremarkable, but its features, as far as scientists can tell, are incredible. The planet’s placement in its solar system means that there is potential for the planet to support human life – a concept that becomes more and more intriguing as space travel technology advances. While there are other planets like this one – deemed “Super-Earths” – LHS 1140b is quickly proving itself to hold more potential than the rest.
