Dallas is About to Get a Texas-Size Central Park
The Trinity Park Conservancy is soon to break ground on building a “Texas-Size” Central Park along the Trinity River in Dallas. The park is supposed to be about 11 times larger than Manhattan’s Central Park (everything is bigger in Texas y’all). The initiative was set into motion after a $50 million donation from the Simmons family. The project is not only going to make the already cool Dallas, ~super cool~, but it will also help the city from flooding. Of course this forward-thinking project will have an immediate impact, but will also have a long lasting impact on the DFW area. The mayor of Dallas wants to be building “America’s next great urban park” by next year.
