AT&T and Verizon Don't Want to be Seen with Google Anymore
AT&T and Verizon are removing their ads from Google’s non-search platforms after concerns that the ads were being played alongside extremist videos, specifically on YouTube. An AT&T spokesperson told Business Insider, “We are deeply concerned that our ads may have appeared alongside YouTube content promoting terrorism and hate.” Google needs to clean up their act before AT&T and Verizon are happy being seen side-by-side with them again. AT&T and Verizon are some of the world’s largest brand advertisers and their decision to pull their ads may cause other advertisers to follow their lead, creating a bigger problem for Google’s business.
