Multiple Tornadoes Cause Damage to the South

At least nine tornadoes were reported in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi Tuesday, damaging a great amount of property and causing at least 31 reported injuries. Four of the tornadoes have now been confirmed and Louisiana Governor, John Bel Edwards, has declared a state of emergency. Tornadoes were reported in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Ponchatoula and Killian, and tornado watches were in effect in Alabama and Florida Wednesday. Residents are still currently without power in New Orleans. Isolated storms could still take place in states such as North and South Carolina. 23 out of 50 states are under weather alerts right now as a large portion of the country faces severe weather.
