Taking the Battle to the Courts
President Trump’s Executive Order travel ban will be up for discussion in a hearing at 6 p.m. ET by a federal appeals court. This comes after a federal judge in Seattle, Washington, temporarily put the ban on hold. The Justice Department has been asking for the ban to be immediately restored, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit will now officially hear their arguments. The court refused to make any decisions over the past weekend without hearing arguments from both sides of this controversial order. During the time that the order has been frozen, many people have come into the country who were previously banned.
