He Got His Chance

Chance the Rapper won Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance last night at the 59th Grammy Awards, becoming the first ever with an album that was only online. This was the first year that streaming-only music was allowed, and Chance’s first Grammys. Adele also went home big last night, taking home 5 Grammy Awards. When she won best album, she gave a shoutout to Beyoncé, whose album Lemonade rivaled Adele in 3 categories. Beyoncé performed a multimedia tribute to motherhood highlighting her pregnant belly, while other singers used their performances to make political statements like Katy Perry with her new single “Chained to the Rhythm.”
