Chaos broke out on Twitter after Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz, made an announcement on Sunday that the company plans to hire 10,000 refugees in the next five years. The hashtag “#BoycottStarbucks” hit the trending list as people tweeted out against the company, which were combated with tweets from Starbucks supporters using the hashtag satirically. Arguments against Starbucks ranged from creating jobs in America rather than other countries to helping veterans not refugees. The company promises to focus on refugees who have helped the U.S. military as interpreters and will make the hires in all of the 75 different countries they do business.
