Nebraska State Senator Signs Off Following Offensive Retweet
Nebraska Senator Bill Kintner has announced his resignation from office after coming under fire for a retweet mocking marchers in this past week’s Women’s March. This is the second time he has been publicly criticized for his behavior in regards to women; the first occurring in July 2015 when he used a state computer to Skype sexual actions. The Senator stated that his resignation was “not about justice” and “will be hailed as a victory to the progressive liberal movement” but has determined that stepping down is the best course of action for him at this time.
