Dallas Morning News Endorses Clinton
The Dallas Morning News hasn’t recommended a Democrat for the presidential office since before World War II, over 75 years ago. However, on Wednesday morning they endorsed Secretary Hilary Clinton, the Democratic nominee. The only election since World War II in which the Dallas Morning News didn’t endorse the Republican nominee was in 1964 between Lyndon B. Johnson and Berry Goldwater, and in that election they chose to remain neutral. They stated that the Democratic Party’s values are still at odds with their own values of free-markets, individual liberties and strong national defense, but that Clinton is a “known quantity” who has many allies on both sides of the aisle.
