Melissa Click, Mizzou professor fired “for her conduct during student protests” when she threatened a student reporter, has been hired by Gonzaga University in Washington State as a lecturer. The video of Professor Click confronting the student reporter and asking “for some muscle” to remove the student from the protest went viral last November, landing Mizzou in the national news. Click was charged with misdemeanor assault over the event. The University of Missouri only fired the assistant professor after the state made threats to cut funding to the university. Only time will tell what the relationship between Click and Gonzaga will hold.
