A teenager is currently suspected on opening fire, injuring 3 people, at a South Carolina elementary school playground at 1:45 p.m ET on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016. The shooting at Townville Elementary School unfolded after the father of the suspected teenager, Jeffery Osburne, was found dead. The motive of the shooter is currently unknown, but terrorism has been ruled out. Joanne Avery, the superintendent of the Anderson County School District, explains that the active-shooter training that school personnel have participated in prevented the incident from becoming much worse.
