Power's Out in Puerto Rico
The entire island of Puerto Rico has lost power due to a fire at Aguierre power plant, which has now been controlled. Although it has yet to be confirmed, this incident is currently being investigated as a possible sabotage against the government. This outage has left 1.5 million people without electricity, which has lead to traffic jams and closed businesses. Despite this blackout, telecommunications services and the Luis Marin International Airport continue to function as normal. The governor of Puerto Rico, Alejandro Garcia Padilla, said this power outage will last for hours, with different areas gaining back power at different rates.
