Running Outta Gas
Due to leak in a Colonial Pipeline in Birmingham, the state of Alabama has forced its closure for the time being. The shutdown has been in place since September 9th after the discovery of a 250,000 gallons spill. This pipeline is the main supplier of gas for the East Coast and Southeastern states. Many gas stations are having shortage issues; in sections of Georgia and North Carolina there were even cases of some stations being completely out of gas. Along with shortage issues, Georgia is also experiencing a price raise at an average of 21 cents per gallon. Other states are are experiencing price hikes, though not as drastic.
