North Carolina Gets the "L" with NCAA

Due to the ‘Bathroom Bill’, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has announced it will be removing all seven of its championships from North Carolina for this school year. The NCAA now joins a list of companies like PayPal and entertainers like Bruce Springsteen, who have backed out of business in North Carolina in a protest against the bill. The ‘Bathroom Bill’ requires anyone in the state of North Carolina to use the public bathroom corresponding to their birth gender. Republican politicians in the state such as Governor Pat McCrory and the North Carolina Republican Party Spokesperson, Kami Mueller, have spoken out against the NCAA’s decision.
