Texas Elector Refuses to Vote Trump
A member of the Texas Electoral College, Christopher Suprun, created a stir among Texans and across the United States when he announced that he does not plan to vote for President-Elect Donald Trump in the Electoral College election on December 19th. Although he is a Republican, and Texas did go Republican in the election, Suprun said that he feels it is his duty to protect the country, and believes he cannot do that and also vote for Trump. Even if Suprun does put his vote behind a different Republican, it still seems very unlikely Trump would drop below the 270 votes needed to be sworn in as President.
