Seventy-five years after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is returning to the location of the battle along with President Obama. He will be the first Japanese Prime Minister to do so since World War II. Prime Minister Abe cites President Obama’s historic visit to Hiroshima as his reason for the trip, stating that Obama’s visit made a huge impact on the Japanese and he would like to do the same. This trip marks an important step in the Japanese-United States relations of the present day.
