Did the FBI Break the Law?
The director of the FBI, James Comey, sent a letter to Congress concerning Hilary Clinton and more emails. The letter reported that emails related to Clinton’s private server could’ve rocked the presidential race this past Friday. Clinton and her supporters have pointed fingers at Comey for making that announcement so close to the election, in addition to questioning the legality of the claim. Democratic Leader Harry Reid says Comey could be seen as violating the Hatch Act, which limits political activities of federal employees too close to the elections in otder to prevent any influence they might have. The Obama administration does not think Director Comey is attempting to influence the election in any way, however.
