Cuban Leader Fidel Castro Dies
It was announced November 25th by the Cuban State Television that the leader of the Communist Party of Cuba, Fidel Castro, has died at age 90. Castro is known for overthrowing the Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista in 1959 and taking political and military power. He created a socialized, single-party state and served as the prime minister and president of Cuba throughout nine U.S. presidents. Reactions to his death have been mixed, some revering and honoring Castro as a revolutionary and hero, other celebrating the death of a dictator. The question of how US-Cuba relations will look now still remains.
