Major Earthquake in Japan
A strong earthquake hit Japan Tuesday morning near Fukushima, the site of the devastating 2011 earthquake that caused the tsunami that killed thousands. The earthquake, which hit at Monday at 4pm ET, was a 7.3 magnitude earthquake. According to the United States Geological Survey, as long as earthquakes cause lateral movements in fault lines and not vertical movement, tsunamis will not be large, if they happen at all. Keep Japan in your thoughts as this story develops.
