On Wednesday morning, two police officers were shot just ten minutes and two miles apart, near Des Moines, Iowa.  Authorities have identified a suspect, Scott Michael Greene.  Police officers from a city right outside of Des Moines, Urbandale, say they had an interaction with Greene about two weeks ago in which he was kicked out of a high school football game while waving a confederate flag at a crowd of African-Americans during the national anthem.  Greene has not been charged with the murder of the two officers yet, however Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parizek has said that he is “suspected of doing this.”  The deceased are Urbandale Police Officer Justin Martin and Des Moines Police Sergeant Anthony Bemino.
