Down in the Dumps
Newly released emails show that Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta didn’t wait long to respond to the original controversy surrounding then-Secretary Clinton’s emails. The day the original story broke in March 2015, Podesta wrote to Clinton’s Chief of Staff in the State Department that, “We are going to have to dump all those emails so better to do so sooner than later.” Podesta’s emails have been continuously released by WikiLeaks since October and the number of his emails released has now eclipsed 40,000. A Clinton campaign aide has stated that by “dump” Podesta meant release to the public as opposed to deleting or getting rid of them.
