Muslim Students Receive Support at University of Michigan
To combat the rising anti-Muslim feelings in America and in response to the news that a Muslim student was threatened for her faith, students at the University of Michigan worked together to stand in solidarity with students that identify with the Muslim faith. Students and faculty held hands in a circle around students that were performing the Ishaa prayer, one of Islam’s five daily prayers. The Muslim Student Association at Michigan organized this public prayer event to display their pride for their faith.
