GOP Headquarters in North Carolina Firebombed
In the early morning of Sunday, October 16, the Orange County Republican Party Headquarters in Hillsborough, North Carolina was attacked by a firebomb. The bottle filled with explosive material caused massive damage to the interior. Until this incident, Hillsborough, a town which has embraced its political divisiveness, claims that they had learned to live peacefully among each other, despite their political views. No arrests have been made and both presidential candidates have publicly condemned the action. Multiple citizens, including the vice chairwoman of the Orange County Republican Party, Evelyn Poole-Kober, expressed disbelief that the act could have been performed by a local person.
